2004 Gutiar Foundation of America Winner Concrt Goran Krivokapic Concert, October 12th, 2005 at

Goran Krivokapic was born in 1979 in Belgrade, Yugoslavia. He started his music education
with Mico Poznanovic in Herceg-Novi, Montenegro. In
1993 he enrolled at the Slavenski High School of Music in Belgrade where he received lessons from Prof. Srdjan Tosic and in 1997 entered the Faculty of Music Art in Belgrade. After graduating, he continued his studies with Prof. Hubert Kappel at the Hochschulefuer Musik Koeln in Germany. In 2003, after graduating with honours, he continued his studies in Cologne (Konzertexam) with prof. Roberto Aussel and enrolled for a master’s degree at the Conservatorium Maastricht, Netherlands, in the class of Prof. Carlo Marchione.
Goran Krivokapi has won first prizes in several international guitar
competitions: Petar Konjovic International Guitar Competition in Belgrade (1996); International Guitar Festival of Corfu in Greece (1997); Andres Segovia in Granada, Spain (2000); Michelle Pittaluga in Alessandria, Italy (2000); Rene Bartoli in France (2001); Koblenz International Guitar Competition in Germany (2003); Velez-Malaga in Spain (2003); Fernando Sor in Rome, Italy (2003); Iserlohn International Guitar Competition in Germany (2004); Alhambra in Alcoy, Spain (2004); Mauro Giuliani in Bari, Italy (2004); Ruggero Chiesa-Citta di Camogli in Italy (2004); Guitar Foundation of America Solo Guitar Competition in Canada (2004); Dr. Luis Sigall in Chile (2004).
As a soloist, Goran Krivokapi has performed with the Slovak Chamber Orchestra, Belgrade Philharmonic, Montenegro Symphony Orchestra,
Montenegro Chamber Orchestra, Chilean Symphony Orchestra and the Turin Philharmonic. He has given solo recitals and master classes at guitar festivals, music festivals and concert seasons in Germany, Italy, Spain, Yugoslavia (Serbia and Montenegro), Austria, Greece, Turkey and Chile. Several documentaries have also been made about him for television (TV Montenegro, TV Arte) and radio.
