Keith Rhodes is continuing to make great sounding and aesthetically pleasing instruments. This affordably priced guitar features solid kingwood back and sides, a spruce top, and a matte French polish finish. The sound of the guitar is very clear and well balanced. The rosette is a computer generated leaf design incased in plastic.

1998 Used Clarence Burnett Classical

This used handmade classical guitar features solid kingwood back and sides, a spruce top, ebony fretboard and French polish finish. The guitar is in good condition only with minor aesthetic blemishes. After playing a Burnett guitar, world renowned classical guitarist Pepe Romero stated, "You would be doing a disservice to the world if you quit building guitars." Used 1997 John Price Cedar/Brazilian Rosewood Back and Sides

John Price guitars are made with the finest materials  such as Brazilian Rosewood and other Latin American rosewoods, western red  cedar, German spruce, ebony and Australian timbers, all seasoned for many years.

Lighter sound boards reinforced with carbon fiber bracing and "Cello" like curved brace less backs, combine to give these guitars exceptional volume, projection, sustain, clarity and preciseness, rating these instruments among the top in the world.  This Particular model features Brazilian rosewood back and sides with a Cedar top.  While a new instrument with these woods would be priced at approximately $7500, this guitar is priced to sell at $4800.  The guitar is in fair condition with multiple finish nicks and scuff marks from finger nails.

New 2004 Gil Carnal Lattice Braced Concert Guitar
Cedar Top/South East Asian Rosewood Back and Sides

William Jenks, concert guitarist and owner of Portland Classic Guitar, plays Gil Carnal guitars exclusively and is a proud distributor of these exceptional instruments.  Gil Carnal guitars follow the dimension, shape and most of the aspects of traditional classical guitars. The changes are to the underside of the soundboard, treating it a little bit like the wing of a plane and creating a lighter resonating area that presents the same resistance as a traditional soundboard.  He uses lattice bracing made of lightweight wood reinforced with graphite fiber in the manner of Greg Smallman. 1997 Used John Price Classical

According to John Price, this particular guitar is one of the best he has made. It is in good condition with only minor scratches on the top. This guitar has an incredibly rich and powerful sound.

John made his first traditional Classical Guitar in 1989. He soon realized that guitar making was going to be much more than just a hobby so he set up a purpose built workshop in the Adelaide Hills where he has been making his instruments professionally since 1994.

With his background as a musician, along with an award winning 25 years as a cabinet maker, John now specializes in the contemporary (Lattice braced) classical guitar which sees him couple his intuition, acoustic sense and own ideas with modern materials to produce guitars that display a volume, projection and sustain previously unheard of.
John says of his craft, "I get great pleasure in making fine guitars, as the guitar is such a demanding and beautiful instrument. I hope to inspire the players as much as they have inspired me".
