Stan Olmstead

Guitarist Stan Olmstead will be performing traditional solo flamenco guitar, with a special guest flamenco dancer, Gina Shubsall. Raised in a musical family, Stan learned first from his father. His formal music training began at the age of 18 at the Jan Nerudy Music Academy in Prague, Czech Republic with classical guitarist Martin Sauer. He discovered the flamenco guitar studying with local guitarist Dale Fine.

Gina Shubsall began her professional dance training at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, where she specialized in Contemporary Dance and studied Vaganova Classical Ballet. Whilst completing a Masters Degree in Choreography, she came across Flamenco Dance and began her studies with Diana Reyes and Antonio Soria..
